As a Seattle mom with three lively, growing boys, I looked all over for fun clothes that would last. I love bright, happy prints and so do kids. I started making a line that made getting them dressed easy and they got to wear what they loved. Fairy, fireman, or farmer, IMPWEAR lets kids strut their stuff in distinctive, easy-to-put-on styles. Seattle children have grown up in IMPWEAR. We've churned out quality hand-me-downs for 20 years in zesty prints that keep customers coming back.
About Our Products
At IMPWEAR, growth systems are designed into each garment. With roll-up cuffs, double shoulder snaps, adjustable ties, and good quality elastic, our garments will grow with your child. The label reads “made by a mom” because there are snaps everywhere to make dressing struggle-free, and diaper changing a possibility. The pullovers fit over big heads without tears, the cuffs stay cuffed, the twirly dresses and skirts are big enough to make you feel like a princess, and I have fabrics that make boys happy!
The cottons are fine quality, and printed in Japan. They will shrink 2-3% after the first few washings. That can be a half inch or so, and is factored into the size chart. They hold their shape and bright colors through zillions of washings. I promise. My boys have thoroughly torture-tested their outfits. Hand-me-downs from the oldest still deck out the youngest 10 years later!
Machine wash in cold water with like colors. Tumble dry low. No need to iron. Not intended for sleepwear.
The really fine print:
IMPWEAR's fabrics are manufactured to the highest environmental standards. All of our fabrics comply with current environmental and consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). Our fabrics have been tested at a third party lab and found to be free of lead and phthalates.
Although the 100% cottons used in the sun hats are not secifically UPF rated, they provide "Excellent UV protection", owing to the tight weaves used in the quality of cottons we purchase. The tops and brims are double layer too, which helps even more. The brims are wide and stiff enough to fully protect faces, ears, necks, and more.
100% cotton Batting (in hats) is made by a local company and withstands MANY years of washings.
Snaps are made in the US and have been tested to determine that they are lead-free, kid safe.
Our "oil cloth" is polyurethane-laminated cotton is soft like butter, washable (line dry), and BPA-free, PVC-free, CPSIA compliant It won't wrinkle or de-laminate over time. Believe me, I've worn it well.
